Bow Creek

'Bow Creek' is a long-established folk band best known for creating

unique arrangements of both traditional and folk inspired music

from around the world.

Hailing from Holland, Ireland and England, they are based

in the West Country of the U.K.

From festival stages to intimate venues, they entertain a wide range

of audiences in their original and relaxed style, making for a great

atmosphere whatever the occasion or audience.

The band are multi-instrumentalists and draw inspiration from

childhoods immersed in the folk tradition, celtic origins, world music,

traditional dance, country music and progressive folk-rock.

In an interview with BBC6 Music's Steve Lamaq, Kathie alluded to her

earliest experiences of folk music performance; at age seven, she regularly found herself sitting at the back of an Irish pub while her parents performed.

Individually, the band each has a rich and interesting musical history, having

played  thousands of gigs with appearances all over Europe, on T.V. and

radio and on numerous CDs. Two of the band are featured in the

Guinness Book of World Records for musical achievement.

Bow Creek perform a varied programme each year; Music festivals such as

Cornwall Folk Festival, Sidmouth International Folk Festival,

Falmouth International Shanty Festival,Teignmouth Folk Festival,

Pirate Festivals, Heritage Festivals, The Tall Ships Race, Plymouth Ocean City, Waterfront Live, County Shows, and not forgetting hundreds of

regular pub gigs, folk clubs, regattas and weddings.
